The time is finally here! Mad Max Arrives in Broken Hill… Again!
More than 40 years since the hit film, Mad Max 2, was filmed around Broken Hill, our sweeping Outback NSW desert plains are once again the backdrop for the Mad Max series, with filming currently underway for the next movie, ‘Furiosa’, with George Miller as Director and Chris Hemsworth as the lead.
The huge film crew has booked out all three of our Broken Hill properties but by this July, filming will be completed so start planning your stay now so you can experience the real-life backdrops for the movies yourself as well as the famous Mad Max Museum in Silverton. Of course you can bring your own caravan or tent anytime and stay at our expansive NSW caravan park sites amongst the dunes at Broken Hill Outback Resort or by the river at Warrawong on the Darling near Wilcannia.
